La Vaca, Medas Islands

La cueva de La Vaca

Sometimes weather forecast isn’t accurate: the big thunderstorm that it was supposed to arrive during the night delayed, and we enjoyed our solitary dive in “La Vaca”, a wide and famous cave of the Meda Grande.

Visibility was not out-of-common like in previous weeks, but not bad at all. I was not totally “photographically inspired”, but, anyway, fun as usual! Water still al 11C, but I hope temperature will start increasing in the next weeks…

First dive of the year

23 01 2010

White Blenny, Medallot, Medas Islands

After almost one month without diving, finally weather allowed us to go in the water again. A good occasion to try the new BCD (a Scubapro Knighthawk), the revised Housing, and to check if the self-made sensor cleaning got good results.

Water quite cold (12 degrees celsius), 11 at -30, but visibility quite good to be in January. And in the Medallot (like a big pinnacle) it’s almost impossible to get lost, also in a photographic session.

BCD definitely a good product. Back inflation system, good buoyancy control. Just need to be used with the new inflator button style .

Photos… some, but need to be a little bit more “in the flood”, too muche time spent on the land 🙂
