Cala Viuda

Cala viuda cave

Still fighting agains the cold water – but I’m getting used to dive at 12C – we took a boat trip to Cala Viuda with Orca Diving. An incredibly good visibility (at least for this winter month) was a premium for taking the risk of leaving the wideagle lens.

Underwater landscapes were incredible, and we visited all the 3 big caves of this dive site.

Some problems to get out from the water, as while we were underwater, a big wind storm complicated everything, but at the end, everybody was safe. And exhausted.

“Aiguafreda” means ” Cold water”. And this time the name reflects the reality! Water is now around 12C, the lowest annual year, and if outside starts snowing, the global picture is complete!!

Due to the strong wind, it was not possible to take a diving boat and we decided to dive from the shore. At the end, not so bad at all! An unusually (for february…) clear water for approximately 62 minutes- dive.

I like shore dives, very relaxing, with no hurry, usually easy dives.. to be repeated soon.
