A trip to Togian Islands, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia

6 06 2010

Back from a trip in Indonesia, where I had the opportunity to visit an archipelago located in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is quite difficult to reach these islands – I took a flight from Surabaya to Makassar, then another flight to Luwuk, a 8-hours car trip to Ampana and another 6 hours ferry.

My final destination was the Black Marlin Dive Resort  (http://www.blackmarlindiving.com/) a nice resort located in the small island of Kadidiri, very comfortable and much more cheap than other present in the area.

Diving spots are really great – also if not so much fish, (maybe some overfishing?) expecially in the island of Una-Una, where big schools of trevally and barracuda are an ordinary sight. Also a wreck of a WWII bomber is an interesting dive also if the visibility is quite low.

Here my Flickr album from Kadidiri
